“Christmas Day is a time for celebrating with family and friends,” says Warren Fowler, GM Northern Region.
“With a comprehensive range of services around the city, people will be able to get to friends and family no matter where they live,” says Mr Fowler.
“To make Christmas Day as easy and convenient as possible for Aucklanders, we are providing free travel on all our buses,” says Mr Fowler.
The free travel is available all day on 25 December on all Metrolink, GO WEST, LINK, North Star and Stagecoach buses.“Free Christmas Day travel is also the perfect opportunity for people to explore parts of the city they might never have been to.”
All buses will be operating on their public holiday timetables.
“I would also like to thank our people who will work on Christmas Day, who make it possible to offer these free services,” says Mr Fowler.
